Rotary is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide, who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. There are approximately 1.2 million Rotarians, members of more than 31,000 Rotary clubs in 167 countries.
The Kilmarnock-Irvington-White Stone (KIWS) Rotary Club was founded in 1929 and currently has 55+ members. Our goal is to provide humanitarian service to the Northern Neck of Virginia and beyond. |

The KIWS Rotary Club has two major annual fundraiser, which are:
The Bay Seafood Festival. A tradition for 18 years, the KIWS Rotary Club organizes the Bay Sefood Festival and executes this all-you-can-eat buffet, including numerous varieties of seafood side dishes and beverages, as well as live dance music. Over 2,000 people attended the Bay Seafood Festival in 2007. The proceeds from the festival benefit local charitable organizations such as the Northern Neck Free Health Clinic, Boy Scouts, Jacob's Ladder, The Haven, Hospice and other community groups. Proceeds have exceeded $300,000.
THE 18TH ANNUAL SEAFOOD FESTIVAL (2008) WILL BE HELD AT BELLE ISLE STATE PARK ON 5 SEPTEMBER 2008. TICKETS FOR THE 18th ANNUAL BAY SEAFOOD FESTIVAL ARE SOLD OUT. TICKETS FOR THE 2009 FESTIVAL WILL GO ON SALE IN APRIL OF 2009. A VERY SPECIAL THANKS TO ALL WHO ORDERED TICKETS FOR THE 2008 FESTIVAL.
The KIWS Rotary Club Golf Tournament, which started in 2004, is held at the Indian Creek Yach and Country Club. The 2008 tournament was held in June.
